Arsenal's transfer window isn't complete until these 4 players leave

As we enter the final weekend of the transfer window, there are still a few burning agenda items for Arsenal to complete. Admittedly, there are still a few players they need to sell.

The Gunners have been fairly ruthless this transfer window. They've offloaded more players than they've signed, but it was necessary. After clinging to false optimism for a long time, Mikel Arteta is being realistic and cutting bait with some players who simply don't cut it.

1. Kepa Arrizabalaga

Who would feel confident if David Raya got injured and Kepa Arrizabalaga was the guy we had to call upon? Not me.

It was a very strange signing for Arsenal. Even if we put it down to being a gamble, we must now recognise that it was a gamble that failed miserably and move on. Thankfully, he only cost Arsenal in the domestic cups they weren't aiming for, but it did prove he cannot be trusted between the sticks.

2. Tommy Setford

Through no fault of his own, there is no place for Tommy Setford at Arsenal.

The Gunners have proven that they can't offer the young goalkeeper any minutes, and with Illan Meslier in the fray now, there is even less space for Setford to get the minutes he deserves.

Arsenal probably had high ambitions when they signed Setford, and he has plenty of time to make a name for himself, but logistically, it just doesn't work at Arsenal. Raya is the best goalkeeper in the world, and he's not going to be replaced at Arsenal in the next few years.

3. Fábio Vieira

Surely he will leave.

In fact, you probably forgot he was an Arsenal player. I know I did.

Simply put, Fábio Vieira has never lived up to his potential at Arsenal, and it doesn't look like he will anytime soon.

There are just some players who don't suit playing for the Premier League champions, and Vieira is one of them.

He is nowhere near physical enough to compete in the Premier League, and with more firepower added in the midfield this summer. Vieira seems even more out of place. He has to be sold this summer.

4. Gabriel Jesus

While he deserves all the credit in the world for being a legitimately game-changing signing for Arsenal, he has worsened season by season to the point that the club cannot justify keeping him any longer.

Now that he is in his final year of contract, this is the last chance Arsenal have to make any money back on him. Unfortunately, as the days dwindle by, it seems less and less likely that Arsenal can find a suitor.

If one does pop up, though, Arsenal must jump at the opportunity. This is our fourth-choice centre forward we're talking about here, behind Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyökeres and Mikel Merino.
