Arsenal suffers fresh injury concern again after star limps off
Arsenal continue to suffer from the international break, and Christos Tzolis may have joined Kai Havertz as one of their injured stars during this period.
The winger has been a key player for Arsenal this season and has also been impressive for Greece during the international break, helping his nation secure important victories, including a win against Germany.
Tzolis is one of the first names on the team sheet for his nation, but his latest appearance ended prematurely. After just 18 minutes of their match against the Netherlands, the attacker pulled up and was substituted because of an injury, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Arsenal face another fitness concern
Tzolis was clearly in pain after suffering the injury, having enjoyed a positive international break with Greece. Arsenal will now have to monitor his fitness and wait to discover the extent of the problem.
The timing will be a concern for the Gunners, particularly because Tzolis has established himself as an important player in their squad. His performances for both club and country have highlighted his importance to the team.
Arsenal will therefore hope that the injury is not serious and that Tzolis will not be forced to spend an extended period on the sidelines. Losing another important player during the international break would be another concern for the club.
Tzolis has become important to Arsenal
Tzolis was the only left winger Arsenal signed during the summer after the club moved on from Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. Although Eberechi Eze can also play in that position, Noni Madueke has been used there as well.
So far, Tzolis has been Arsenal’s best player in that role, making his fitness particularly important to the team. The Gunners will be hoping that his latest injury does not keep him out for a long period.
