Arsenal make approach for star after impressive 30-goal contribution season

Arsenal are hoping to sign the Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, they are in talks with the Turkish club in order to sign the Nigerian International.

The 27-year-old has been outstanding since joining Galatasaray, and Mikel Arteta rates him highly. The player had 30 goal contributions last season, and he could transform Arsenal’s attack.

The player currently earns €20 million per season with the Turkish outfit, and Arsenal will not be able to afford those wages. Arsenal have already made it clear that the player will have to lower his salary in order for the move to go through. Meanwhile, he has a contract with Galatasaray until 2029, and the Turkish outfit is under no pressure to sell him for cheap right now. Arsenal will have to pay a premium in order to get the deal done.

Osimhen has proven himself in France, Italy and Turkey. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League. It remains to be seen whether all parties can agree.
