Arsenal forced into action as Real Madrid eye €100m deal
Real Madrid are reportedly keeping close tabs on the development of Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, who is also a key transfer target for reigning Premier League champions Arsenal.
The Turkey international has been heavily linked with a Juventus exit for the past 12 months and transfer speculation has not disappeared despite the fact he signed a new four-year contract at the club in February.
Arsenal are believed to have been monitoring his situation in Turin for the best part of a year and he was on their shortlist of possible left winger signings over the summer before they completed a deal for Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis.
However, the Gunners are expected to sign another new attacker next year, having failed to replace Gabriel Martinelli, and Yildiz is firmly on their radar following an eye-catching campaign last year.
The 21-year-old is currently sidelined with a foot injury, but his future remains a hot topic and Arsenal have been tipped to seriously pursue a deal next summer. However, they will not be the only club in the race for his signature.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia), who claim that Real Madrid are “lurking” as club president Florentino Perez studies a possible €100 million transfer.
It’s understood that Yildiz could look to leave Juventus if they fail to secure Champions League qualification this season, and despite bolstering their attack with the addition of Yan Diomande over the summer, Real Madrid are set to battle Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the race to sign the Turkey star in 2027.
Kenan Yildiz has an easy transfer decision
Yildiz is an excellent talent, but Real Madrid simply don’t need to sign another left winger after finalising a contract extension agreement with Vinicius Junior, and there is significant reason to suggest that he would struggle for consistent game time at the Bernabeu.
He would also likely play a back-up role to Luis Diaz at Bayern if he opts to rejoin the club he signed for as a seven-year-old.
At Arsenal, however, Yildiz would walk into the starting XI on the left flank and he would play a pivotal role for Mikel Arteta’s side. So, if it’s a choice between Arsenal, Bayern and Real Madrid, Yildiz has an easy transfer decision.
