Where can AZ and NEC’s Europa League draw be watched live? What time is the draw and what is the pot allocation?
The Europa League league phase draw takes place on Friday at 13:00. AZ and NEC, among others, will then discover which eight clubs they will face in the coming months in the billion-euro competition. How does the draw work?
From 2024, UEFA stopped using the traditional balls for the draw and switched to a computer to determine the opponents. AZ and NEC will each face eight opponents: two teams from each pot. UEFA base the pots on club coefficients. All clubs play four away matches and four at home.
The teams that finish from 1st to 8th qualify directly for the last 16. Teams from 9th to 24th go into an intermediate round. Teams from 25th to 36th go out and do not drop into the Conference League either.

Pot 3: Sturm Graz, Lech Poznan, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Sunderland, NK Celje, Jagiellonia Bialystok, Omonia Nicosia, Celta de Vigo
Pot 4: TSG Hoffenheim, Besiktas, União Torreense, Hapoel Beer Sheva, NEC, OFI Heraklion, Lillestrøm SK, Levski Sofia, Ararat Armenia
What are the possible opponents for AZ and NEC?
AZ and NEC will face two teams from each pot, including their own. Clubs from the same country still cannot face each other in the league phase. PSV and Feyenoord therefore avoid one another for now. Each side will play four away matches and four at home.

Friday's draw takes place in Monaco on 28 August and starts at 13:00.
