West Ham transfer rumours: Jean-Clair Todibo set to join Ligue 1 side

Jean-Clair Todibo is set to join RC Lens
The transfer saga involving Todibo is finally coming to an end. After falling out with Nuno Espírito Santo at the end of last season, Todibo was not going to play for West Ham again.
The defender was linked with multiple clubs throughout the transfer window. This includes Aston Villa, Juventus, Atalanta, and Olympique de Marseille. However, he has finally set for a move to come to fruition.
The Paris-based journalist,Fabrice Hawkins, posted on X (translated from French): "Todibo is set to sign with RC Lens! Agreement reached between Lens and West Ham for the loan of the French international.
"Todibo is already in Lens and is currently undergoing his medical examination. Loan without a purchase option. The defender made a significant financial effort to facilitate his arrival. In this deal, Lens has outmaneuvered OM, held back by its financial constraints."
Lens started their Ligue 1 campaign well, beating Auxerre 5-2. However, they then lost 2-1 to Strasbourg. Their roster includes Thorgan Hazard and former Crystal Palace forward Odsonne Edouard. However, it is clear that they need help at the back, and Todibo will fix this.
West Ham are looking light on options in multiple areas now, including center-back. With Dinos Mavropanos missingthe match against Watford, 18-year-old Airidas Golambeckis had to partner Max Kilman at the back.
Josh Brownhill linked with West Ham United move
Brownhill has extensive experience in the Championship and won the division while at Burnley. However, he is now playing in the Saudi Pro League with Al Shabab.
TEAMtalk has reported that Al Shabab are looking to sell Brownhill after signing Thomas Partey from Villarreal. They mentioned that Brownhill has many suitors, including West Ham, Hull City, Coventry City, Birmingham City, Southampton, Wrexham, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Hammers need to boost their midfield options after letting James Ward-Prowse return to the Saints. Hull and Coventry will both be able to offer Brownhill Premier League football. Therefore, West Ham and the other Championship clubs have a difficult task of landing the midfielder.
Bid for Mikel Gogorza rejected
West Ham are still looking to boost their forward options after selling Crysencio Summerville to Al-Hilal. They also released Adama Traore, but did bring in Manor Solomon. Kieber Lamadrid also joined the club permanently. West Ham are also reportedly set to sign Edvin Austbø from Viking.
The Hammers reportedly bid £12 million for Mikel Gogorza of FC Midtjylland. However, according to Bold (translated from Danish) "The large bid, which includes bonuses, has been rejected."
Gogorza is a 19-year-old left winger who represents Denmark at the Under-19 level. In 67 games for Midtjylland, he has scored nine goals and produced 11 assists. It remains to be seen if West Ham do go in for another bid for Gogorza, especially if Austbø is to arrive at the London Stadium.
