Waleed Al-Farraj has taken aim at Al-Hilal, and he didn't hold back. The famous media personality picked apart the club's declining level despite Monday evening's 2-0 win over Al-Raed in the round-of-32 of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.

Speaking on his programme "Rotana Sport with Waleed", Al-Farraj said: "Al-Hilal under the leadership of Simone Inzaghi is stifling, as it offers nothing worth watching."

He added: "I don't know the reason for this decline. It's true the team wins, but it does not deliver the required level or what is expected of it."

The criticism is nothing new. Al-Hilal and coach Inzaghi have faced constant flak over their declining technical level since last season, when they lost every title bar the last edition of the King's Cup.

Talk of an Inzaghi departure has surfaced again and again, with many arguing his identity simply doesn't suit this team right now.
