The Danish forward experienced a European night at Celtic Park for the first time as Martin O’Neill’s side swept LASK aside with a 3-0 victory in the first leg of their Champions League play-off.

Hogh started through the middle and, although he could not add to his impressive early goals tally for the Hoops, his reaction before kick-off showed just how much he was enjoying the occasion.

Footage shown by TNT Sports captured Hogh soaking up the atmosphere as the Champions League anthem played around Celtic Park.

Rather than adopting the usual stern pre-match expression, the 25-year-old could not hide his smile as he gazed around the stadium and towards the Celtic support.

O’Neill has already described Hogh as a “character” since his £11million summer move from Bodo/Glimt, and his personality has quickly helped establish him as a popular figure among supporters.

European football itself is certainly nothing new to Hogh.

He scored five times as Bodo/Glimt reached the last 16 of the Champions League last season, while he was also a joint-top goalscorer in the 2024/25 Europa League as the Norwegian champions enjoyed a remarkable run to the semi-finals.

But his reaction on Wednesday suggested that experiencing a Champions League night at Celtic Park from the home dressing room was something different altogether.
