The English striker continued his brilliant form

England international Ivan Toney, the Al-Ahli striker, celebrated his 100th appearance for the club, though defeat spoiled the milestone in the Saudi Roshn League.

Al-Ahli fell 3-2 to Al-Qadsiah in Tuesday's clash at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, in the sixth round of the Saudi Roshn League.

Three unanswered goals had left the Jeddah side trailing at the break. Toney hauled them back into it after the interval, striking twice in the 63rd and 82nd minutes.

Those two strikes kept the England man top of the Saudi League scoring charts this season, his tally of 8 goals a full four clear of Serbia's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, the Al-Hilal midfielder in second.

It was Toney's 100th match for Al-Ahli across all competitions, and he marked it in style, since arriving from Brentford in the summer 2024 transfer window.

No player in the Saudi League has scored or contributed more than Toney since his arrival, according to Opta. He has had a hand in 96 goals across all competitions, netting 80 and setting up 16.

Toney has yet to be crowned the league's top scorer, having finished runner-up to Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr captain, two seasons ago, then to Mexico's Julian Quinones, the Al-Qadsiah star, last season.
