La Roja's brilliance continues
Spain rolled on. La Roja brushed Croatia aside 4-1 on Tuesday evening at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Seville, in the second round of the UEFA Nations League group stage.
Spain started on the front foot and dominated possession from the off, and Lamine Yamal punished Croatia before the second minute was up.
Dion Beljo hauled Croatia level in the 28th minute to set the tie alight.
The response was swift. Marc Pubill restored Spain's lead in the 31st minute.
Lamine Yamal picked up where he left off after the break, netting his second and Spain's third in the 63rd minute.
Nico Williams rounded things off in the 89th, sealing a fourth for La Roja and underlining their dominance.
Victory took Spain to 6 points at the summit of Group Three, following their win over England in the previous round. The English sit second on 3 points, ahead of Croatia in third on goal difference, while the Czech Republic prop up the table without a point.
