Video: a thrilling start: the UAE put Oman under pressure
The UAE and Oman tore into their "Gulf Cup 27" semi-final on Saturday evening, and it was the UAE who seized the early grip, piling pressure on their opponents 22 minutes into the clash at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
Both sides traded blows before Mamadou Coulibaly collected a pass down the left flank and whipped in a decisive cross. Othman Camara rose above the Omani defenders to steer his header into the net.
That strike was the UAE's 46th goal against Oman across all competitions in the history of meetings between the two nations.
