Trézéguet ignites the anger of Al-Riyadh fans before the clash with Al-Ahly
The Egyptian star is the standout player in the capital club's side.
Egyptian Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet", the star of Saudi side Al-Riyadh, has sparked the anger of the club's fans ahead of their Roshn League fixture against Al-Ahli.
Al-Riyadh travel to face Al-Ahli today, Friday, at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium, in the fifth round of the Saudi Roshn League.
The club's official account on "X" revealed the starting and substitute line-ups. The Egyptian winger was nowhere to be seen.
That absence infuriated a section of Al-Riyadh's supporters, who flooded the comments demanding to know why he had been left out and venting their frustration at the lack of explanation.
Only a day earlier, on Thursday, the club had posted pictures from the team's final training session before the Al-Ahli clash. Trezeguet looked perfectly fine in them.
The Egyptian joined Al-Riyadh during the current summer transfer window, arriving from Al-Ahly after a single season in their ranks.
