Tijjani Reijnders scored his first goal in his second game for new club Al Qadsiah. The Netherlands international opened the scoring in style as they beat Neom SC 2-0 in the league.

Reijnders lined up alongside several other familiar names in Al Qadsiah's starting XI. Goalkeeper Koen Casteels, Nacho Fernández, Julian Weigl and Mateo Retegui had all previously made their name in Europe. We also know Mexican Julián Quiñones from the last World Cup.

Just after the half-hour mark, Reijnders put his side in front. Gaston Alvarez played him in, he drove towards goal and poked the ball into the near corner from the edge of the box with the outside of his foot: 0-1.

Then Retegui quickly wrapped it up after the break. The Italy striker converted from the penalty spot to make it 0-2. That earned Reijnders his first points with his new club, after he had lost 1-0 to Al Ittihad on his debut three days earlier.

This summer, Reijnders joined Al Qadsiah from Manchester City after just one season. The English top club received a transfer fee of €60 million for the Netherlands international.
