'There are a lot of enquiries about him, but Ajax absolutely do not want to sell him'

Ajax do not want to sell Dies Janse, according to information from Voetbal International. The Amsterdam club see the left-footer as the ideal successor to Daley Blind.

Ajax sent Janse on loan to FC Groningen last season. He made a big impression in the far north and returned to Amsterdam with high expectations.

An injury then forced him to miss a large part of pre-season, and Ajax brought Blind back from Girona in his position.

Despite that, Janse does not need to worry about his future at Ajax. According to VI, the club see him as the ideal successor to Blind, whose contract expires again next summer. Ajax therefore do not want to sell him, despite strong interest.

Last week, Janse played 45 minutes for Jong Ajax, but according to VI that had nothing to do with his prospects. The 21-year-old centre-back simply needed to build up match fitness after his injury.

Ajax also have another left-footed centre-back in Youri Baas. He would be allowed to leave the Johan Cruyff ArenA if a good offer comes in, but for now that is not the case.
