The truth about Wissam Abou Ali's return to Al-Ahly

The greatest deal

Wissam Abou Ali is back in the headlines. Reports have swirled about a possible return to Al-Ahly in the upcoming winter transfer window, leaving fans of the Red Castle wondering just how much truth there is to them.

Former Al-Ahly and Egypt goalkeeper Ahmed Shobier has settled the debate. The media figure confirmed on his account on the "X" platform that there is currently no chance of the Palestinian striker returning to the club under Moroccan boss Hossein Ammouta.

Shobier said: "I would sign ten times over, a million times over, that the greatest signing for Al-Ahly in recent years among the foreign players was Wissam Abou Ali, even though he played for a very short time."

He added: "Wissam Abou Ali was sensational at the Club World Cup, sensational in the African tournament, sensational in the Super Cup, sensational in the Egypt Cup, and sensational in the league, where he was the league's top scorer."

Shobier concluded his remarks by saying: "That is why, when his name was circulated and it was said that he might possibly return to Al-Ahly club, I told them that if there were a chance for him to return, do not be late, but there is no chance of him returning."
