SFA confirm match officials for Celtic v Aberdeen
Duncan Nicolson has been appointed referee for Celtic’s upcoming Scottish Premiership meeting with Aberdeen.
Martin O’Neill’s side welcome the Dons to Celtic Park on Wednesday, September 2, with kick-off scheduled for 7.45pm as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Nicolson will take charge of the fixture, assisted by Frank Connor and Chris Rae, while Peter Stuart has been named as fourth official.
John Beaton will be on VAR duty, with Sean Carr appointed as his assistant.
Celtic enjoyed an unbeaten record in the three matches Nicolson refereed involving the Hoops last season.
His first Celtic appointment came in the 2-2 draw against Dundee at Parkhead in December before he oversaw their dramatic 3-2 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in February.
Celtic recovered from two goals down that afternoon, with Julian Araujo scoring a stoppage-time winner.
