Real Madrid duo miss training ahead of Malaga clash

Although the first game of the new season was quite a roller-coaster, Real Madrid have still been able to have a very encouraging start to their 2026-27 La Liga campaign. After beating Espanyol 1-2, the Merengues put in a very convincing performance in their first game at the Santiago Bernabeu, when they defeated Real Sociedad 4-1.

However, Los Blancos do not have any time to rest, and are already preparing for their next game, against Malaga on Sunday. Jose Mourinho has been leading the team’s training, but there have been several absences.

As MARCA has reported, Aurelien Tchouameni and Endrick both remained unable to participate in the latest training session with the group on Friday. They are currently working individually with specific plans to regain full fitness and avoid any future setbacks, and are quite unlikely to be available for the game against Malaga.

The Brazilian forward suffered a muscle strain around a week ago, and thus has been unable to participate in the opening two games of the new season. Meanwhile, the French midfielder arrived from the World Cup and his holidays quite late in the summer, and has not yet been ready to play in competitive games.

Other players like Thiago Pitatch, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes, and Raul Asencio also remained absent from training, as they are also recovering from their respective injuries. The former three have already started working with the ball at Valdebebas, and thus it would not be long before they start training with the rest of their teammates.

Even without these players, Jose Mourinho will have enough firepower in his Real Madrid squad to get the job done and take the full three points against the newly-promoted Malaga side. Hopefully, star players like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Jude Bellingham will continue with their good form and put in even more good performances at the Santiago Bernabeu.
