PSV reach agreement on Driouech transfer for eight million euros

Couhaib Driouech looks set to leave PSV for Celta de Vigo, journalist Mounir Boualin reports. The two clubs have reached a verbal agreement for the winger's transfer.

Boualin says the deal has been agreed at eight million euros. Driouech is already out of PSV's matchday squad for Sunday's game against FC Groningen.

Talks between Driouech and Celta de Vigo are still ongoing, including over the length of the contract. The PSV winger also still has to undergo a medical.

Earlier, the winger was close to joining Rangers. The Scottish giants feared Driouech would still need at least six weeks to recover from a thigh injury. Even so, he was back on the training pitch at PSV.

"I don't understand it. He went there with a minor injury. They are making this decision based on immediate availability, even though it was about a four-year contract. It is a minor injury, after that you can still enjoy someone for 200 weeks, can't you?" technical director Earnest Stewart wondered aloud in conversation with Voetbal International.

Driouech is under contract at PSV until mid-2029. Transfermarkt values him at seven million euros.
