Preston boss Heckingbottom confirms key return from injury is close

Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom says Brad Potts is closing in on a return to action.

Potts has been training and is set to increase his workload over the coming days, with Heckingbottom hopeful that a full week on the training ground next week will prove important in his recovery.

“Potts trained today, so that’s good,” Heckingbottom said. “He’ll have another big session tomorrow and then next week will be huge for him because we’re in all week and we can train properly.

“He’ll have a bigger day today, he’ll do some more football on Thursday, some extra on Friday and over the weekend, but we know he’s missing the football so next week he’ll be able to get more exposed to that.”
