Perez is ruthless about Feyenoord fans who caused chaos against Cambuur
Kenneth Perez delivers a devastating verdict in Dit Was Het Weekend on the Feyenoord supporters who fired rockets at SC Cambuur. The analyst even feels sorry for the people responsible for the chaos in Leeuwarden.
"To have to go through life with such a low IQ," sighs the astonished Perez after seeing the images from Cambuur's stadium. "That really seems difficult to me. That you can be so stupid and then also be proud of it. As if to say: look at us, we're the tough guys."
Cambuur said after the home match against Feyenoord that five supporters were injured. "Those people could just as easily have suffered permanent damage. If you can think even the tiniest little bit, it doesn't even have to be very much, then you don't do this, do you?"
Appalled by the behaviour of Feyenoord's travelling support, Perez wants the KNVB to come down hard in cases like this.
"Just dock Feyenoord three points in this case. And if it happens again: six points," Perez offers as free advice to the Dutch football association.
Valentijn Driessen also condemns the Feyenoord fans who suddenly set off fireworks in Cambuur's away end. "They are simply criminals," he says in a video item by De Telegraaf.
Because of the chaotic scenes, the match in Leeuwarden was suspended. Afterwards, Feyenoord pulled away to a 2-5 win, leaving them third in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie.
