Al-Dabbagh and Al-Hamlawi shine

Palestine thrashed China 5-0 in Friday's friendly at the Chongqing Longxing Stadium, bringing the curtain down on "Al-Fida'i" camp in China.

Oday Al-Hamlawi opened the scoring in the 16th minute, firing a right-footed shot from inside the box after a pass from Oday Dabbagh, the goal awarded following a VAR review. Six minutes later he struck again, converting Zaid Qunbar's pass with video technology once more confirming the goal.

Dabbagh made it three in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time, lashing a left-footed effort home from inside the area after Omeed Mahajna teed him up. Palestine went into the break three goals to the good.

Five Chinese substitutions at half-time did nothing to stem the tide. Dabbagh grabbed his second and Palestine's fourth in the 54th minute, drilling a right-footed finish from the right side of the box.

China searched for a way back, and twice they rattled the right post from direct free kicks. Wang Shangyuan struck the woodwork in the 68th minute, with Liu Yang doing the same in the 79th.

Ahmed Qaqa rounded off the rout in the third minute of stoppage time, sweeping home a right-footed shot from the centre of the area. He had replaced Dabbagh in the 82nd minute.

Khaled Al-Nabris picked up a yellow card for Palestine in the 50th minute. China's Gao Zhunyi was booked in the 68th for a rough challenge.

During the same camp, Palestine had beaten Tajikistan 4-2, a game in which Al-Hamlawi scored twice.
