Norwegian reports link Rangers midfielder Thelo Aasgaard with Bodo/Glimt
Thelo Aasgaard has been loosely linked with a potential move to Norwegian football amid uncertainty over his role at Rangers.
The midfielder was handed a starting place for Rangers' opening Premiership fixture of the season and repaid Derek McInnes' faith by scoring the only goal of the game.
However, Aasgaard has since found himself on the bench for Rangers' next two matches, leaving questions over his position in McInnes' plans.
The 24-year-old arrived at Ibrox with expectations on his shoulders after joining from Luton Town, but endured criticism from sections of the Ibrox support during the previous campaign.
There has been little concrete speculation over a potential departure this summer, with McInnes also recently stating that there were no imminent player sales in the pipeline.
Despite that, a move cannot be completely ruled out with Rangers continuing to work on their squad before the transfer window closes.
Tenuous Norwegian link emerges
Aasgaard has been loosely linked with Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt by Avisa Nordland, although there is currently little to suggest that the interest has developed into anything concrete and remains speculation within the media in his homeland.
There has been no indication of a formal bid or advanced negotiations between the clubs, meaning any potential move remains speculative at this stage.
A return to Norway would nevertheless represent an intriguing option for Aasgaard, who has represented the country at youth level and has a strong connection to Norwegian football.
The mid-season Norwegian transfer window closes tomorrow, September 2, so any move would have to happen quickly, or Aasgaard's future remains at Ibrox.
