Morrison gives update on fitness of West Brom forward after draw with Charlton

West Brom boss James Morrison has revealed that Aune Heggebo is still only fit enough to come off the bench after being introduced late on in the 1-1 draw with Charlton, after struggling with illness.

Heggebo came on in the 77th minute at The Hawthorns, with Morrison explaining that the striker has yet to fully recover.

“I just think Bo’s been struggling with the illness, he hasn’t got over it yet,” Morrison said.

“I can see the way he’s training, he looks like he’s being ‘dug up’. I need to give him a few more days to get back to normal.”

Reflecting on the point, Morrison added: “They are good at what they do, they’ve proven it to start the season by picking up results and they’ve found a way to do that.

“We just have to be better around the box and get the best opportunity and that will come.”
