Moretto: ‘Ready to part ways’ – Leao exit remains possible with Milan open to sale
With the final week of the summer window now upon us, there continues to be a lot of doubt about the fate of Rafael Leao.
It has been a stormy summer for Leao, who made the headlines before the World Cup when he told Portuguese media that he wants to try a new adventure because he considers his time at Milan to be over after seven years.
However, it seems as though none of the clubs that have come forward have particularly convinced the winger, while Milan are yet to receive an offer that they deem to be satisfactory. There is a week left for things to change on this front though, and it appears the Rossoneri are hoping they do.
Speaking in a video update on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto gave an update on where Leao stands going into the final part of the window. His words have been relayed by MilanNews.
“Regarding Leao, Amorim said he doesn’t know if he’ll be available for the next match, but injury aside, the Portuguese remains on the market,” he said.
“Or rather, if the right offer were to arrive, the parties are ready to part ways. We’ll see what happens between now and the end of this summer transfer window.”
