Marcus Rashford’s agent contacted as ‘one of the big’ clubs enquire over imminent transfer this week
Marcus Rashford’s agent has been approached by ‘one of the big’ clubs in Turkey to discuss a potential deal this week.
That’s according to journalist Yaguz Sabuncuoglu (relayed by UtdReport), who adds that the identity of the suitor has not yet been identified, though it’s likely to be one of Beşiktaş, Galatasaray or Fenerbahçe.
They are keen to understand what it would take to form an agreement, including the player’s demands and what kind of fee Manchester United are expected to ask for.
What Marcus Rashford thinks about Super Lig switch
However, Rashford has already privately ruled out a move to the Turkish league.
It remains to be seen if a lucrative proposal may change his mind, but as things stand, he is preparing for the beginning of the Premier League campaign with United on Saturday.
INEOS have not ruled out a sale and would still be willing to do business in the final stage of the window, though they cannot do so if the player himself is entirely closed off to the protracted switch.
The 28-year-old had his heart set on returning to Barcelona for 2026/2027, either on another loan or a permanent move.
Rashford snubbed by Barcelona despite stellar form
Yet, when the Catalan giants shelled out £69.3 million for Anthony Gordon while opting against activating Rashford’s £26m buy option, it became clear he did not have a future at the Camp Nou.
They even later brought in winger Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund for just under £20m, showing just how little they planned to add Rashford to Hansi Flick’s ranks after his loan stint.
