Man City boss Jeglertz hopeful of return for WSL clash with Aston Villa

Manchester City Women boss Andrée Jeglertz is hopeful Grace Clinton will return for Sunday’s Women’s Super League clash with Aston Villa.

The England international missed City’s 3-1 victory over Birmingham City, having last featured in the 2-2 pre-season draw with Barcelona.

But Clinton is now closing in on a return and is expected to be available for the trip to Villa Park.

“I hope Grace Clinton is available,” Jeglertz said.

Looking ahead to the clash with Villa, he continued: “They’re good in that. I expect a tough game, they’re a tough team and have confidence from the last game [draw at Chelsea].

“It’ll be a challenge but we have good confidence from the last game and have had some good sessions in the squad.”
