Leao hits back at Italian media with Instagram comment: ‘Can’t leave me alone’

Rafael Leão joked that the Italian media ‘can’t leave me alone,’ reacting to an Instagram post highlighting criticism he received in Turkey.

Ex-Milan star Rafael Leao humorously commented on an Instagram post criticising his performance at Galatasaray thus far.

The social media post from Tuttomercato web read: “Leao, we’re not there yet. Zero goals for Galatasaray, zero assists and a 4 rating.”

Leao’s Instagram comment: ‘Can’t leave me alone’

Among the comments, Leao’s stood out: “Even playing abroad, they still can’t leave me alone,” he wrote, adding three laughing emojis.

Leao joined Galatasaray from Milan for €38m last summer, but has not yet scored or assisted in four appearances with the Turkish club.

During his seven-year spell at Milan, Leao scored 80 goals and provided 65 assists in 291 appearances across all competitions.

He won the 2021-22 Serie A title and was the league’s best player. He also won the Supercoppa Italiana with the Rossoneri during the 2024-25 season.

Leao has signed a contract with Galatasaray until 2030.
