Journo chief hints Liverpool could hijack Chelsea transfer late in the window

Xabi Alonso has reportedly made signing Lamine Camara his priority for Chelsea in the transfer window.

Liverpool are also thought to be admirers of the Senegalese international, but separate reports indicate they are prioritising a move for Roma’s Manu Kone.

However, Foot Mercato’s editor-in-chief, Sebastien Denis, hinted the Reds may yet make a move for the Monaco midfielder.

Reports around the player have suggested that Liverpool would actually be the midfielder’s preferred choice of destination this summer.

However, Chelsea’s potentially impending need for a replacement for Manchester City-linked Enzo Fernandez could see the Blues jump into action far sooner than their Premier League rivals.
