🚨James McClean has gone in hard on the Israel match ..

The former Ireland international has come out in strong support for the game not to be played this evening between the Republic of Ireland and Israel.

The Derry native was speaking to The Irish Sun and said the following;

You play the game and history will always remember you as the ones who played the game,” McClean.

If you don’t play the game, you’ve the backing of a full nation and probably beyond the nation.

You are either going to stand on the right side or the wrong side of history. Until that first whistle goes you still have that opportunity to do the right thing.

You have an opportunity here to do the right thing and stand on the right side of history and unfortunately, these lads are going to go ahead with the game.

They’re forever going to be tarred for not doing the right thing.

I’ve seen some of the interviews saying, ‘We’re uncomfortable with it’ and, ‘It’s not been easy for us’. Well then, don’t play the game!
