Training has been postponed. Will other players do the same?

Daniel McDonnell, a journalist with the Irish Independent Football, reports that a discussion between the Republic of Ireland players and the top brass of the Federation is under way.

At the heart of it is said to be the decision of goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, who is reported to have expressed the wish not to take to the pitch in the second round of the Nations League against Israel, because of the geopolitical context.

In response, the morning training session was postponed, while the rest of the squad are said to be considering what position to take.
