Injury fears eased for Spurs star in relief for De Zerbi

Tottenham have been handed a positive injury update on Micky van de Ven after the defender suffered a scare on international duty.

The Dutchman looked to be in serious pain after having his hand accidentally stood on during the win over Serbia.

But Netherlands boss Xavi says he does not think it is a serious issue.

“He’s ok, he felt dizzy because he suffered with his finger,” he said.

“It’s not a big injury.”

The update will come as a relief to Tottenham, who have already been dealt another injury concern with van de Ven’s international and club team-mate Jan Paul van Hecke withdrawing from national team duty last week.
