Four depart Chelsea as talks over midfielder move continue
Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has completed a season-long loan move to Serie A side Como.
Sanchez has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Emi Martinez from Aston Villa and will now spend the 2026/27 campaign in Italy.
The Spaniard is one of several Chelsea players to leave the club before the transfer window closes, with midfielder Dario Essugo also completing a season-long loan move to sister club Strasbourg.
Strasbourg have also completed the permanent signing of striker Deivid Washington from Chelsea.
The Brazilian joined the Blues from Santos for £17.1 million three years ago but made just three appearances for the club.
Forward Dujuan Richards has also departed Stamford Bridge, joining AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan.
Meanwhile, the Blues remain keen on adding a midfielder before the deadline, with Enzo Fernandez closing in on a move to Manchester City.
Monaco’s Lamine Camara and Roma’s Manu Kone are two of their targets, but those deals have proven difficult to do.
