England produced a historic performance in Rijeka as Thomas Tuchel's side thrashed Croatia 7-0 in the Nations League.

Jude Bellingham starred with a remarkable individual display, Harry Kane continued his relentless pursuit of goalscoring history and Elliot Anderson reached another milestone in his rapid international rise.

From England's biggest win against elite opposition to individual achievements spanning more than three decades, here are five records broken by the Three Lions in Croatia.

Biggest winning margin of victory against a nation ranked in the top 50 of the FIFA World Rankings

Though the result fell short of England's biggest-ever win, a 13-0 success against Northern Ireland in 1882, it was the biggest victory the Three Lions have ever claimed against a top-ranked side.

The 7-0 success was the biggest margin of victory against a team ranked inside the top 50 of the FIFA World Rankings, since their introduction in 1992. Croatia were ranked 13th at kick-off, with former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane admitting England made them 'look like a Gibraltar kind of team'.

First team to score five goals in an away game against Croatia

No team had ever scored five goals in an away game against Croatia, before Saturday evening. England had been one of the teams to score four times previously, when Theo Walcott hit a hat-trick in a 4-1 success in September 2008.

First midfielder to record four goal involvements in a match for England since 1993 (Jude Bellingham)

Jude Bellingham's brilliant performance saw the Real Madrid man become the first midfielder to be involved in four goals for England in 33 years. David Platt was the last to achieve the feat, when he scored four times against San Marino in February 1993. Bellingham scored once and provided three assists in Rijeka.

First player to score 10+ goals in three different calendar years for England (Harry Kane)

Harry Kane extended his all-time goal record for England with a brace against Croatia. Kane has now scored 89 goals in 124 caps, and has 11 in 12 appearances for England this calendar year. He's the first player to reach 10+ in a single year on three occasions, after scoring 12 in 2019 and 16 in 2021.

Fastest player to reach 20 caps for England (Elliot Anderson)

Elliot Anderson's ascent to first-choice status with England has been rapid. Since making his senior debut for the Three Lions in September 2025, Anderson has been a fixture in the side, culminating in an impressive World Cup and £116m transfer to Manchester City at club level.

His meteoric rise has seen Anderson reach 20 caps for England faster than any other player, only 392 days after his debut.
