Ruben Amorim has so far opted to make changes to his starting XI for each game, and it seems his testing period is not over.

As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) write this morning, Amorim has carried out several experiments with his Milan side so far. There are various reasons for this, from workload management to imposing his ideas, as well as players not being at their best physically yet.

There are certain things though that have not yet fully convinced him, and make the Portuguese coach believe he is yet to find the right formula. The four changes to the XI for the Juventus game stand as proof of this.

The search continues

For example, in the first game at San Siro against Venezia, Amorim was not happy with the defensive phase. In the end the Rossoneri managed a clean sheet but they gave the visitors a lot of space to attack, and on another day they could and probably should have scored.

Then on Sunday, against Juventus, Amorim believes that the team were lacking in the management of ball during the possession phase. They faced problems in creating goal-scoring opportunities, and then after taking the lead they were unable to sustain a period of control.

The manager will therefore continue to work to improve things at Milanello, and will do so by experimenting with rotations and game management. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that further changes will come against Lazio.

In the meantime, the principles of the style he wants to play will be clearer in the players’ heads and those who are not yet 100% will get closer to peak condition, so we should increasingly see a well-defined team.
