Confirmed Liverpool Women XI vs Tottenham: Gareth Taylor hands Natalia Ramos first start
Liverpool Women have made a single change for their clash against Tottenham Hotspur, with summer signing Natalia Ramos handed her first competitive start for the Reds.
Liverpool Women head into this afternoon’s Women’s Super League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur at the St Helens Stadium with manager Gareth Taylor opting to shuffle his pack.
A brace from captain Grace Fisk, with others from Cornelia Kapocs and Vivien Endemann completed the rout and got the Reds off to the perfect start in a 4-0 win v Charlton Atletic.
The Reds are looking to continue their momentum in the WSL season in their first home match of the season, making just a single change in midfield.
Ramos given first start
Following her arrival from CD Tenerife Feminino in August, Ramos is preferred in midfield to Kirsty Maclean as the only change from the side that beat Charlton in their WSL opener.
The 27-year-old central midfielder featured as a substitute in the 72nd minute against Charlton in the WSL opener, but was yet to start a competitive match for the Reds.
Fuka Nagano keeps her place alongside Ramos, while Cornelia Kapocs again operates in the No. 10 role, following a goal and assist last weekend
Up top, Beata Olsson starts for consecutive matches, with Ceri Holland retaining her place on the left.
Endemann looks to continue fast start
Endemann starts again on the right-hand side after impressing on debut.
The winger earned player of the match for her performance against Charlton. She bagged a goal and assist as she was a constant threat down the right flank. Fans will be excited to see if she continues to display such direct, threatening wing play.
Sam Kerr deputises at right back again with full-time fullback Mari Ward remaining on the sidelines. She is part of a defence that includes captain Grace Fisk, Jenna Clark, and Alejandra Bernabé.
Khiara Keating remains in goal for her second appearance for the Gareth Taylor’s side.
Sophie Roman Haug is back among the substitutes after her recent fitness issue, while Mia Enderby and Lily Woodham also feature on the bench.
Sara Agrez is another option among the replacements, alongside Rachael Laws, Marie Therese Hobinger, Alice Bergstrom, Aurélie Csillag and Maizie Trueman.
