"... we want to win everything"
Lamine Yamal has picked up the award for the best player in La Liga for the second season running. The Barcelona star claimed the prize, handed out by the Spanish Footballers' Association, at a ceremony in Madrid on Tuesday evening.
After collecting the honour, the teenager stopped to speak to reporters in the mixed zone. He opened up on his feelings about the award, several matters concerning Barcelona, his current form and his ambitions with the club.
Delight at the award
Speaking about receiving the award, Yamal said, according to the Spanish newspaper AS: "I am very happy to be here. Any award is welcome, especially when it comes through the votes of my fellow players. People talk a lot about what is happening with me, but honestly I am happy and enjoying everything."
The award caps a blistering start to the campaign, with Yamal netting twice in his first three La Liga outings.

Barcelona's attack or Real Madrid's?
On the possibility of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez joining Barcelona during the summer transfer window that is nearly over, Yamal said: "At the moment we are performing brilliantly, and we don't need more goals. Julian is a great player, but I'm happy with the squad we have."
Asked whether Barcelona's front three trumps Real Madrid's, Yamal refused to be drawn. "This isn't an area for competition," he said. "But we want to win everything."

Rayo's goal and Champions League ambition
The Spanish winger spoke about his remarkable goal against Rayo Vallecano, saying: "It meant a lot to me. Scoring for the club that represents my life makes me very happy."
Progress is something Yamal feels every day. "Yes, I feel I am developing. I would have a problem if I weren't. I am still very young, and I always listen and try to improve." The Barcelona star then revealed his greatest ambition, saying: "I want to win the Champions League. Sorry, Alex Baena."
