Como Test the Waters for Fiorentina and Chelsea Strikers
After strategically halting their pursuit for a few weeks, Como are back in the hunt for Moise Kean, although their first formal bid was rejected by Fiorentina, Fabrizio Romano reports (via SOSFanta).
The Lariani tendered a €30M package, comprising a €5M fee for the initial loan and a €25M obligation to buy. The Viola signaled that they wanted to keep their star. The suitors will offer a lot more to have a realistic shot.
Como are on the prowl for another striker, and Kean is particularly appreciated by coach Cesc Fabregas. They gathered Intel for Liam Delap, but Chelsea asked for €10M just for the loan.
The Biancoblù are searching for talented Italians to help with their UEFA Champions League list and have been offered Samuele Ricci. However, they are prefer to add him with a temporary formula, while Milan would rather let him go permanently.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Viola striker is fine with either outcome and will let his club decide. He’s not raring to go, but he’d like the chance to play in the top continental competition, provided the Lariani match his current €4.5M salary. However, he wouldn’t pout and would look to bounce back if he stayed.
Our Take on Como Targeting Kean
There must be some busy intermediaries at work if the interest hasn’t ceased after Fiorentina seemingly took him off the market. Like this year’s Milan, the Biancoblù don’t really worry too much about the numbers when they are really eager to sign somebody. It’d be odd if they suddenly got stingy. It appears that the call is really up to the Viola. The fact that they already spent a good buck for another striker, Mateo Pellegrino, is quite suspicious.
