Arnold Bruggink is full of praise for Ruben van Bommel midway through PSV v FC Groningen (3-1). The left winger is giving marker Jorg Schreuders all sorts of problems with his pace and movement.

"Van Bommel has pace and power. A lot of danger is coming from there," Bruggink says as he analyses the winger's display on ESPN. "He also uses his body

to shut out the opponent's speed. Super explosive. He simply has a lot."

PSV's left-sided attacker played an important role in Ivan Perisic's 2-1. "You can say it is poorly defended by Schreuders. But the space in which he is defending," Bruggink says, pointing to the room Van Bommel was given by the touchline.

"The space behind is big," the analyst continues. "Well then, just try sprinting against Ruben van Bommel. Here on the byline he just blocks Schreuders off for a moment. Which gives him the space to cross for Perisic, who can eventually tap in."

Bruggink is hugely impressed by what both teams are producing at the Philips Stadion. "It really is a joy to watch."

Then, in first-half stoppage time, PSV won a penalty after a VAR check. Ricardo Pepi stepped up and fired impeccably into the right-hand corner.
