Mohammed Al-Deayea has lifted the lid on the slump gripping most of "the Boss's" players. The former Al-Hilal goalkeeper pointed to a clear gap between the manager and the club's stars.

Al-Hilal have won three on the bounce, beating Al-Faisaly 4-2 and Al-Feiha 3-0 in the Roshn League and Al-Raed 2-0 in the King's Cup. Yet the criticism of the Italian manager keeps coming from experts and analysts alike.

Speaking on the "Dawrina Ghair" programme, Al-Deayea said: "I believe there is a big gap between Inzaghi and the players. He destroyed the mentality of some players, such as Karim Benzema and Malcom de Oliveira."

He added: "The secret behind Malcom's drop in form is Inzaghi's poor handling of him, which is why he left the team. Likewise, Benzema is not performing well, for the same reason."

The goalkeeper concluded: "Benzema feels sad, as he wanted to be given the captain's armband like Ronaldo and other big players at their clubs, and currently there is a gap with the manager as I mentioned."
