Al-Hilal and Saudi national team legend Mohammed Al-Deayea has launched a stinging attack on Simone Inzaghi, tearing into the Italian's choices since he took the reins at "the Boss" and making clear he remains far from convinced the coach can lead the team the way it needs.

Speaking on the programme "Doreena Ghair", Al-Deayea said: "Inzaghi's choices have all been wrong since he took on the technical role at Al-Hilal. I don't know how he chooses or manages things." He pointed to the question marks hanging over the coach's decisions, both in his selections and in how he reads the team's needs.

The Al-Hilal legend zeroed in on the defence. The back line was clearly struggling, he argued, and Inzaghi should have poured his energy into fixing those problems rather than chasing new attacking signings.

Then came the Karim Benzema file. Al-Deayea reckons the handling of the French striker only adds to the growing list of calls that raise doubts over Inzaghi's management, with the forward now among the most contentious issues since arriving at the club.

Benzema was not the end of it. Al-Deayea also raised the case of French goalkeeper Patouillet, who walked away from Al-Hilal after being one of the very names Inzaghi asked for in the first place. For Al-Deayea, that spoke to a wider lack of clarity in the coach's thinking and squad management.

His verdict was blunt: "I am not convinced of his presence." The words pile fresh pressure on Inzaghi despite Al-Hilal's strong start in the results column, and throw open the debate over how well his choices have worked since he took charge of "the Boss".
