Ajax immediately encounter a problem in the desired loan deal for Tetê
Ajax have yet to get any cooperation in their attempt to sign São Paulo left winger Tetê on loan, ESPN reports. The Brazilian club do not look willing to cooperate with a loan deal.
Brazilian journalist André Hernan reported on Friday that Ajax had submitted a bid to sign the 19-year-old attacker on loan. The Amsterdam club are said to have a deal in mind with certain conditions attached.
UOL revealed that the agreement contains an obligatory purchase clause. “If Tetê plays a certain number of matches during the loan period, Ajax must acquire the rights to the striker for €10 million.”
At this stage, the Brazilian club do not appear willing to accept that. São Paulo want to sell the winger outright and are therefore not keen on a loan arrangement.
Tetê has so far played only 122 minutes in professional football across six matches. He has moved between São Paulo’s first team and reserves.
Even so, despite his limited playing time, the attacker is regarded as “one of São Paulo’s most promising talents”. The left-sided forward is also a Brazil Under-20 youth international.
After the departure of Mika Godts, Ajax are looking for a new left winger. The Amsterdam club also want to add a right-sided winger.
