After Bayern Munich's Super Cup win against Borussia Dortmund: Vincent Kompany's assistant coach "brings down" pitch invader
Immediately after Bayern Munich's victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Super Cup, an extremely curious scene unfolded.
As the players and coaching staff of the German record champions gathered on the pitch for the trophy presentation, a spectator ran onto the field and initially evaded the stewards.
When the pitch invader got closer and closer to the Bayern players, Vincent Kompany's assistant coach Rodyse Munienge reacted first and stepped into his path.
He flattened the spectator with a bodycheck, then security personnel rushed in and led him away. Within a few seconds, the situation was under control.
The trophy presentation then went ahead without any further problems, and for Bayern, the 2-1 win against BVB meant winning the first minor title of the upcoming season.

At Dortmund's Westfalenstadion, summer signing Nathaniel Brown and Michael Olise put Munich ahead by half-time, while the Black and Yellows, who came on stronger after the break, pulled one back through substitute Fabio Silva.
"A great win to start the season. To win the trophy away against our rival in the league, in their home stadium, is of course a great start to the season," Harry Kane told Sky. Meanwhile, defensive leader Jonathan Tah stressed: "A title always means a great, great deal. We gave everything today as a team. But we know that it can still get better, absolutely."
