AC Milan Women 2-1 Juventus: Kyvåg and Renzotti score in dramatic late comeback
AC Milan Women got their first league win of the season as they came from behind in the final minutes to beat Juventus 2-1.
After losing 4-1 to Como in the Serie A Femminile season opener, Milan claimed their first three points with a comeback against one of their biggest rivals, Juventus. At the PUMA House of Football, all the drama came inside the final 15 minutes.
Thea Kyvåg and Monica Renzotti overturned Lenzini’s opener, which had come with just under a quarter of an hour left on the clock. It was a win the Rossonere ended up deserving, because they had been the better side before Juve’s first goal.
Milan found the equaliser through Kyvåg, who raced through on goal and beat Rusek with a calm finish. Then, on the next attack, Renzotti curled a stunning left-footed strike beyond the goalkeeper to spark jubilant celebrations.
