AC Milan Women 1-1 Como: Rossonere begin season with cup draw
AC Milan Women began their season with a draw at home against Como, one that they might feel a bit frustrated by.
Milan and Como shared the spoils in their opening game of the second edition of the Serie A Women’s Cup. Kanutte’s first goal for the Rossonere gave them an early lead, but Borbye scored an equaliser in the second half.
The result was probably a fair one on the balance of play, though Arrigoni’s missed a big chance to put Milan back in front, and it would have probably proven to be the winner.
Milan sit second in the Serie A Cup table after one game, level with Como Women, while Juventus top Group C on three points following their win.
Next weekend, on Saturday 29 August at 20:30 CEST, the Rossonere will be back at the PUMA House of Football to face Como again.
