Wouter Goes angers Thom van Bergen: 'Just act normal'

Thom van Bergen is no fan of Wouter Goes's style of play, the FC Groningen striker said in an interview with Dagblad van het Noorden.

DvhN asked the Groningen forward about the toughest opponent he has faced. Van Bergen first mentions Lutsharel Geertruida. "He is very quick and strong."

He then names Goes and Nick Verschuren (Sparta) as well. "They talk to you a lot during the match, although that only gives me extra motivation to score."

Speaking about the AZ defender, Van Bergen continues: "After the match against Goes I had bruises all over my arm."

He adds: "Do I like that? No, I could do without it. The week after that I saw him with Jong Oranje and then I showed him my arm with all those bruises."

"'Something like that happens in a match,' he said then. I think that is very easy to say. So after that I am just supposed to forget about it? Just act normal," Van Bergen concludes about his team-mate at Jong Oranje.
