PSG defender loses final appeal and will now stand trial for rape

PSG star Achraf Hakimi’s final appeal against a charge of rape has been rejected by France’s highest court, and he will now stand trial.

The highest court in France, the “Court of Cassation,” has rejected PSG right back Achraf Hakimi’s appeal against a charge of rape.

The superstar will now stand trial before a criminal court, L’Equipe have reported today.

“The Court of Cassation rejected Achraf Hakimi’s appeal, ruling that there were no serious grounds to justify its admission, in accordance with the opinion of the rapporteur and the conclusions of the Advocate General ,” a source said

Hakimi will get a chance to clear his name of the accusations which have hung over him since his accusation in March 2023.

The Morocco international denies any wrongdoing.
