Liverpool get Bradley Barcola news they’ve been waiting for as PSG chase Torres & Godts

Ferran Torres is closing on a move to PSG in the summer transfer window.

Ben Jacobs reports on X (formerly Twitter) that the French champions’ move for the Spaniard, alongside Ajax’s Mika Godts, would likely soften their stance around Bradley Barcola’s potential exit.

Liverpool are understood to be pushing to land the 23-year-old wide man alongside a second winger, which could look a lot like Ibrahim Mbaye.

Assuming that both deals are completed, Luis Enrique would have as many as nine potential winger options to choose from for the 2026/27 season.

To put it simply: PSG look set to have far too many wingers available next term. Certainly far too many to be able to seriously convince the likes of Mbaye and Barcola that they’ll be enjoying a reasonable share of minutes.

While nothing is certain in the window, we are of the mind that the aforementioned deals all but guarantee that the Ligue 1 giants’ wantaway left winger will leave this summer.

Which can only be good news for Liverpool, who have been locked in negotiations with the Parisians over signing their No.29.

Liverpool can’t let Arsenal sneak in

We’re acutely aware of the fact that Arsenal would still like to add a left winger to their squad this summer.

And with Vinicius Jr having fobbed off Mikel Arteta’s men in favour of a contract extension with Real Madrid, the remaining elite pool of left-sided attackers is looking rather shallow.

So, it’s no surprise that recent reports have indicated the Gunners could swoop in and wedge themselves between PSG and Andoni Iraola’s Reds.

Liverpool do, of course, have the advantage of having already agreed personal terms with Bradley Barcola, but there’s no telling how the saga might evolve if PSG do indeed opt to lower their strict asking price.

Whatever happens, given all that we’ve staked on getting this deal done – potentially at the cost of key squad signings – we can’t afford to let the reigning Premier League champions hijack this deal.
