Ferran Torres emerged from the bench to help Paris Saint-Germain to victory over Marseille with a goal in Le Classique on Sunday.
Torres now has seven goals in six games for PSG, continuously starring after his move from Barcelona in the summer. It is therefore a touch confusing that the Spaniard was left on the bench in Le Classique.
He had scored four goals in his last two games, with PSG winning both of those, but for some reason, Luis Enrique decided to drop Torres to the bench against Marseille.
Indeed, he opted for Ousmane Dembele up top, who has impressed in recent games, but no more than Torres has, and he's in fact largely succeeded in tandem with the Spaniard.
After a goalless first half, the opening five minutes of the second didn't bear fruit, so PSG introduced Torres in the 59th minute.
Seven minutes later, he'd opened the scoring for his side, turning a powerful header from a whipped Desire Doue cross past Marseille keeper Jeffrey De Lange, who made eight saves in the game, six of which from inside the box.
It's the second time in as many games that Torres has had a rapid impact on a game, and in this one, PSG won 2-1 after he'd sparked them into life.
Against Brest the week prior, he started, and scored the only goal of the game within five minutes.
The decision not to start him, therefore, has some basis to it.

Indeed, PSG have been shown that in essentially whatever context they use Torres, he can have success. He's scored from the left wing and the No.9 position, and as a starter and a sub.
After a goal within five minutes last week which took his goals tally to four in two games, it was a surprise when he was not in the starting XI against Marseille.
But with that said, on his PSG debut, he scored twice off the bench, so Enrique knows he's got it in his locker to change a game immediately.
It's not a crime for the PSG boss to want to rotate his players and get others into form, but with the Spaniard his most potent attacking force this season, why he wouldn't want to get the most out of him is strange.
There's no guarantee Torres would have had an earlier impact had he started, but he did it a week ago, while none of his team-mates had an impact in that game or in the first half against Marseille.
Torres had three shots and two on target in only half an hour of the game. Dembele played 79 minutes and of his seven shots only put one on target.
It feels that if the Frenchman is to be in the side at the moment, he's best doing so alongside Torres, not instead of him.
