  • Title-chasing Swindon make the trip to struggling Barrow

  • Cambridge aim to make ground on the play-off spots when hosting Oldham

  • Crewe are looking to build on a strong start when they take on Crewe

The international break means a reduced EFL weekend schedule but there is a full house of 12 League Two games, including the derby between Newport and Bristol Rovers.

Here is a look at some of the best bets on Saturday as part of our four-fold accumulator, which pays out at 18/1 with LiveScore Bet, if successful.

Newport vs Bristol Rovers (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Bristol Rovers to win @ 4/5

Recently relegated Bristol Rovers suffered from a hangover in the early part of the season, but they have won back-to-back league matches and look a solid wager to defeat struggling Newport at Rodney Parade.

Mid-table Rovers are intent on challenging for an immediate return to League One and they bolstered their squad significantly on deadline day with the loan signings of Joel Cotterill, Alfie Chang, Stephan Negru and Freddie Issaka from Swansea, Birmingham, Oxford and Plymouth.

Darrell Clarke’s side were 1-0 winners at Grimsby last Saturday, ending the Mariners’ unbeaten status, and should face an easier task in south Wales.

Newport have suffered five successive defeats and they may struggle to cope with a Pirates team which seems to be growing in confidence.

Barrow vs Swindon (Saturday, 3pm)

Swindon to win @ 11/8

Swindon are keen to make an impression on the promotion race and they can move onto 15 points by defeating Barrow on the Cumbrian coast.

The Wiltshire side are ambitious at this level and recently flexed their muscles by cinching the permanent signings of experienced centre-back Ryan Tafazolli and seasoned striker Ollie Palmer.

Ian Holloway’s side rose to fifth after last weekend’s 3-0 win at Crewe but they have their eyes on the automatic promotion places.

They are keen to win every game and should have too much nous and quality for injury-hit Barrow, who are down in 18th place after losing four of their six league games.

Cambridge vs Oldham (Saturday, 3pm)

Cambridge to win @ 4/5

Cambridge are keen on a swift return to League One and they can bolster their top-10 position by defeating winless Oldham at the Abbey Stadium.

Neil Harris’s side have won back-to-back games and their growing confidence is bad news for the Latics, who slipped to 19th place after last weekend’s 1-0 loss at home to Gillingham.

Colchester vs Crewe (Saturday, 3pm)

Colchester to win @ 6/4

Colchester have gathered five of their six points from away matches but they can register a much-needed first home win of the season when taking on Crewe at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Danny Cowley’s side performed well in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at in-form Barnet and they can now see off out-of-sorts Crewe, who started the season impressively but are on the slide after back-to-back league defeats.
