Barça are counting on the Belgian as a future star in the first team

Jesse Bisiwu announced himself as one of Barcelona Atlètic's brightest talents during Sunday's goalless draw against Logroñés (B). The reserve side couldn't find a winner, but the Belgian ranked among their most active and dangerous men in front of goal.

According to Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Bisiwu repeatedly tried to prise apart the Logroñés defence. He went down inside the box and appealed for a penalty, then saw the post deny him the opening goal in the second half.

A very slow pitch surface made life difficult early on. It restricted the movement of the ball and forced Giuliano Bellitti's players to adapt to awkward conditions.

Roughly 20 minutes passed before the Catalan side took control and started playing inside the Logroñés half.

Bisiwu grew into the game as Barcelona Atlètic improved, with the team building their attacks down the left flank.

Barça had officially confirmed the Belgian's signing at the start of August, bringing him in from Club Brugge until 2031 in a deal worth 8.5 million euros.

Aurién Gorin also caught the eye against Logroñés, helping the ball circulate and manufacturing danger. Katović impressed too before a second yellow card ended his afternoon, an early bath that made it harder for the reserves to sustain their pressure in the closing stages.

Barça controlled the final phase and penned Logroñés inside their own area. Still, the winner never came.
